Downtown Revitalization

Brantford's City Council, its citizens, and members of the DBBIA are committed to Downtown Brantford.  Currently, the City is implementing the 2008 Downtown Master Plan. 

Some of the initiatives that have been completed are: Expropriation of the south side of Colborne Street, Colborne and Dalhousie Streets Two-Way Street Conversion class Environmental Assessment and the Transit Terminal and Parking Structure Feasibility Study. Façade Grants are also available for updating downtown properties.  The Grants can be used for projects such as enhancement of storefronts, brick repairs, accessibility, and other aspects that contribute to the beautification and maintenance of commercial and office buildings in Downtown Brantford.  Click here for more information about the Façade Grants Program.
