Local entrepreneur, Ed Bernstein, has brought his own spin on waffles to our community with the opening of his newest venture, Temptation Kitchen, and we are seriously drooling over what’s on the menu.
Located in the heart of Downtown Brantford, Temptation Kitchen offers delicious waffles served in unconventional ways. From decadent dessert waffles (hello banana split!) to scrumptious “wafflewiches” (think meatball sub between two waffles), it is Ed’s goal to surprise and delight his customers with each creation he dreams up. His commitment to quality ingredients and a dedication to making the very best in waffle treats shines through each and every bite. Ed’s creativity and passion show through in the unique combinations and flavours that the store has to offer.
There’s something for everyone to enjoy at TKBrantford, but of all his customers, Ed loves delighting the kids the most.
“One of my favourite experiences was hosting a large family from out of town who came for their 4-year-old daughter’s dance competition at Sanderson Centre. They were looking for something to eat locally and came to the consensus that sweet and savoury waffles satisfied all of their cravings. The daughter was eager to explore the restaurant and insisted on adding her own toppings to her waffle. How could I resist such cuteness? I gave her the topping scooper and she topped off her waffle with a mountain of sprinkles. At that point, it was sprinkles served with a side of waffles. I think she has a future in this business. Her smile was the only thanks I needed that day!”
Ed credits the untapped potential of Downtown Brantford and close proximity to other popular venues and spaces like Harmony Square and the Sanderson Centre for the success of his business so far. He has served customers from all over Brantford as well as plenty of out-of-towners coming for events like the Christmas Parade, Family Day skating and fireworks. He is truly grateful to have found an affordable option for new businesses like his to grow and scale their operations.
Chef Ed is excited about the future of business in the downtown core. With the efforts that have gone in to beautifying Market Square, the variety of fun family friendly events, and all of the dedicated business owners who take pride in this community, he believes that the future is very bright for business in Brantford’s Downtown.
